Everyone is Talking About It

As Fence demonstrated last week, talking about the dull weather has ceased to be a taboo topic.

In fact, trying to understand what's going on inside St. Peter's head has become crucial and today, in the aftermath of Friday's deluge, the BBC asks the question on everyone's mind:

Inspired by the above and while searching for some mental refuge from the stormy skies I came up with a mini ode (and a proposed solution too) to our British summer dilemma:

Warm and Sunny (yeah, right!)

Don't you just love,

Waking up to another grey morning,
Seldom spotting a patch of blue sky

Constant soaking and flooding,
Unable to hang the linen out to dry

The roaring thunder, oh-so-loud,
Which often sends you fleeing

Would someone please climb over a cloud,
and drag the sun back kicking and screaming?


PS: Alas, it looks like it will take more than BRMC to instill some summer into London!

Was it ever taboo? Not for taxi drivers, I know that much :)

Or Sky News, they are loving it

Ops, I should have clarified - t'was taboo other than for taxi drivers and lift passengers - both of whom have historically been eager to engage in weather related banter ... and sky news as you correctly point out!
